Siloton, a health technology startup that is based in Bristol, UK has raised around £860K which is equivalent to $1.1 Million in a followup investment from Evenlode Foundation and other members of Southeast Angels, new investors like Francis Crick Institute, and other angel investors. They were accompanied by non dilutive funding from Biomedical Catalyst Grant that takes the total funding to £1.7m.
The company was founded by Alasdair Price, who is the CEO & Co-Founder at Siloton Limited and has received Clifford Paterson Medal 2023. He started this company to ensure that those who have eye disease could access OCT at their will, wherever they want, and whenever they want.
With this funding, Siloton wants to improve its Akepa OCT (optical coherence tomography) chip technology and bring an updated version of the device by 2025 for the researchers. Since, this sector is seeing an upward trend, the funding will allow the company to continue its vision of providing good quality services.
