OATS gets $2.5 million funding from Humana Foundation

Older Adult Technology Services (OATS) has received a funding of $2.5 million from the Humana Foundation‘s Health Equity Innovation Fund and this fund will be utilized to educate people on the difficulties of social isolation and loneliness, that older people suffer generally and will help them to address it.

With the help of the technology, the company will find the solution of social isolation for older adults so that they will be able to fight this and will overcome. This investment will help the company in creating practical tools that will help older generation to remain in touch with the society and enjoy their elderhood with prosperity and hapiness.

OATS was founded by Tom Kamber and others in the year of 2004 with a vision to help older generation with the new technology and advancements and how to use it to live better. The company started with a 10 week free program in Bedford Stuyvesant, Brooklyn and with word of mouth publicity, the company got expanded to whole New York city with more than 70 partner sites and 10,000 class sessions.
